Albania offers a growing car rental market with both international and local companies. Renting a car is the best way to explore the Albanian Riviera, mountain villages, and historical cities at your own pace.

Albania remains one of the cheapest car rental destinations in Europe. Economy cars start from 18 EUR/day -- significantly cheaper than neighbouring Greece or Montenegro.
Several Albanian rental companies offer no-deposit bookings, meaning you don't need to block funds on your credit card. Ideal for budget travellers and those without credit cards.
Most rental companies accept EU and US driving licenses. English-speaking staff is common at airport and city locations. Online booking with instant confirmation is standard.

Credit card required for standard rentals (deposit hold). Several companies offer no-deposit options accepting cash or debit cards. Check specific company terms at booking.
Valid passport required for all non-Albanian renters. Most EU citizens enter visa-free. Booking confirmation email serves as your rental voucher at pickup.
Basic insurance (CDW/TP) is typically included. Additional coverage options (Super CDW, theft, personal accident) available at extra cost. Check what's included before booking.
Cross-border travel to neighbouring countries (Montenegro, Greece, North Macedonia, Kosovo) may require additional permission and fees. Not all companies allow it -- confirm in advance.
